Myofascial Release
The John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach®
Myofascial Release (MFR) sessions are individualized to each person. We consider how you are at the moment of treatment, not how you felt yesterday or in the past. We work on what’s happening right now, today. MFR is the treatment to receive if you are looking to make a shift in your life that isn’t just going to give you relief of your symptoms. MFR sessions bring awareness to and gently release stored patterns of tension held in your body. As we work through these areas you will begin to feel strong, calm, centered and start to experience life more fully.
A life where you feel rested and easier to face the day ahead.
A life where you feel at home in your body.
A life where you live each moment to its fullest and can be in the present moment for the people you care about.
A life where you feel connected to your body, mind, and soul, to others and to something greater than yourself.
A life where you can be the person you want to me.
During your session I consider your entire body in standing position and in laying. We will treat you where you feel your symptoms and we will also explore elsewhere for the cause of what you are feeling. Treating the cause of your discomfort will allow you the ability to get back to doing the things you love quicker and gain control of your life.
“My myofascial work with Valerie has been a large part of my personal trauma recovery. It has helped me release emotions and has helped me feel comfortable and relaxed in my body again. Valerie’s expertise, calm, safe and non-judgmental presence made me feel completely comfortable working more deeply on these issues.” - N. N.
“I started going to Valerie for myofascial release work in late 2019. Time spent with her is peaceful, relaxing, and productive. I suffer from chronic back and hip pain partially caused from scoliosis. These circumstances cause the muscles in my back and hips to tighten and pull in ways that create pain I can't get out of. With her myofascial release skills Valerie is able to help those muscles loosen and relax and move into a less painful, and yet still protective, positions. I find her work with me so valuable." - S.
